China’s heavy-truck exports are poised to hit a record 320,000 units in 2025, with new energy models surging 150% YoY to 64,000 units in Jan-Sept.
Shacman, a key beneficiary of this growth, reinforced its global position at the 2025 China International Commercial Vehicle Show by launching two flagship products, while advancing localization in Russia amid surging “Belt and Road” demand.
M5000 Truck Launches to Capture Cargo Market
Shacman unveiled the Delong M5000 new-power cargo truck targeting inter-provincial logistics, marking its 10,000th cargo vehicle delivery in 2025.
The model, available in diesel, gas, and new energy variants, delivers 280-350hp and cuts fuel consumption by 10% via 55 fuel-saving patents. “It saves operators over $1,500 annually in fuel costs,” noted a product manager, highlighting its 650kg weight reduction from advanced materials.
Early orders reached 800 units within a month, with express delivery firms accounting for 60% of bookings—driven by its 18m³ cargo capacity and 500,000km durability rating.
C Series Powertrain Boosts High-End Lineup
In celebration of its 20-year partnership with Xi’an Cummins, Shacman launched the C Series premium powertrain.
Covering 4L-15L displacements, it integrates adaptive optimization tech to lower fuel use by 5% and features car-grade NVH performance. “This powertrain elevates our X6000 flagship to compete with European brands,” said Shacman’s R&D director.
The C Series will power 70% of Shacman’s 2026 exports, targeting Southeast Asia’s RCEP-driven logistics boom where the brand aims 15% annual growth.
Russia Localization Advances Amid Market Shift
Shacman confirmed ongoing preparations for localized production in Russia, following three years of 47,500-unit sales.
The move comes as its St. Petersburg 4S store opened Q1 2025, while a recall plan for SX3258 trucks (failed noise and safety tests) awaits 30-day regulatory approval.
“We won’t exit Russia—local production will address certification challenges,” stressed a regional rep. China’s share of Russia’s heavy-truck market is projected to exceed 60% in 2025.
New Energy Exports Target Europe
Aligning with EU’s “Fit for 55″ decarbonization rules, Shacman’s 240kW hydrogen trucks entered Australia in May, with 20 mining pre-orders.
The brand is now certifying electric models for France, where Chinese new-energy trucks hold cost advantages over European rivals.
With 17 global KD plants and 2025 exports nearing 40,000 units, Shacman aims 22% of China’s heavy-truck export market by 2026. “Our dual focus on efficiency and electrification matches global demand,” said a sales executive.
