Xi’an, China — 9 October 2025 — SHACMAN announced today that the 10,000th unit of its flagship X6000 720 hp compressed-natural-gas (CNG) tractor has left the Xi’an plant, only eight months after the model’s global debut. The milestone supports SHACMAN’s 2025 goal of selling 80,000 heavy-duty trucks worldwide and strengthens its position as the top exporter of high-horsepower CNG tractors from China.

1. 720HP CNG flagship — “diesel performance, gas economy”
The X6000 is powered by a Weichai 16-litre engine delivering 720 hp and 3,200 N·m of torque while maintaining a record-breaking 50 % thermal efficiency. SHACMAN road tests show fuel-cost savings of USD 2,400 per year versus comparable 13-litre diesel units at 200,000 km annual mileage. A 298-kg weight reduction and 49-ton GCW rating allow fleets to carry an extra 0.3 tonnes of payload per trip.
2. Record sales momentum — 90 % jump in cargo segment
During January-September 2025 SHACMAN cargo-truck orders surged 90 % year-on-year, the fastest growth rate in the company’s history. Export shipments rose 22 % to 42,000 units, with the X6000 series accounting for 30 % of overseas sales. Deputy General Manager Mr. Wei Bing-liang said, “The 10,000th X6000 CNG tractor proves that high-horsepower gas trucks are no longer niche—they are the new mainstream for low-carbon logistics.”
3. Green logistics impact — 28 % CO₂ cut per kilometre
On a typical 600-km round trip the X6000 CNG emits 28 % less CO₂ than a diesel equivalent, helping fleets meet China’s 2030 carbon-peak target and emerging ESG regulations in the EU and ASEAN markets. Each tractor saves approximately 18 t of CO₂ annually, equal to planting 900 trees.
4. Customer case — 500-unit fleet order
Anhui Speed-Cold Logistics will replace all 300 diesel tractors with X6000 CNG models by 2027, cutting projected fuel costs by USD 650,000 and pay-back period within 18 months. General Manager Zhao Hua noted, “SHACMAN’s 5-minute fast-fill CNG stations along the Nanjing-Shanghai corridor keep our trucks running 22 hours a day.”
5. Global after-sales network
All X6000 CNG tractors come with a 36-month / 300,000-km warranty and are supported by SHACMAN’s 1,600-plus service outlets worldwide. The company will add 200 LNG/CNG refuelling partners along the Beijing-Hong Kong corridor in 2025, enabling 5-minute fill-ups and 24-hour non-stop operation.
