NANJING, China — Oct. 15, 2025 — SHACMAN (Shaanxi Heavy-duty Automobile Co., Ltd.) today officially launched the all-new Delong M5000 compressed-natural-gas (CNG) logistics tractor and simultaneously delivered the 10,000th cargo truck of 2025 to a major cold-chain fleet, underscoring its fastest-growing segment in the domestic market.

The M5000 is engineered for 280-350 hp inter-city operations and powered by the latest Weichai WP13NG engine that delivers 480 hp and 2,300 N·m. SHACMAN tests show a 10-percent improvement in fuel economy compared with similar diesel models, translating into annual savings of more than RMB 15,000 (approx. USD 2,100) for operators running 200,000 km per year.
A high-strength steel frame, aluminium fuel tank and optimized cross-members cut curb weight by 298 kg, allowing fleets to carry an extra 0.3 tonnes of payload within the 49-tonne GCW limit. The truck also offers a 1,910-mm flat-floor cab, 3,650-mm roof height and full air-suspension seat to improve driver comfort on long hauls.
2. Market impact — 90 % sales surge in 2025
According to SHACMAN sales data, cargo-truck orders jumped 90.8 % year-on-year to nearly 10,000 units during January-September, the highest growth rate in the company’s history and 2.3 percentage points higher market share than a year ago.

The new tractor meets China-VI(b) emission standards and is ready for the upcoming China-VII discussion. On a typical Nanjing–Shanghai round trip (600 km) the vehicle emits 28 % less CO₂ than an equivalent diesel model, helping fleets meet corporate ESG targets ahead of China’s 2030 carbon peak commitment.

Anhui Speed-Cold Logistics, which took delivery of the milestone 10,000th unit, plans to replace all 300 diesel tractors with M5000 CNG models by 2027. \”We estimate annual fuel savings of RMB 4.5 million and a pay-back period of only 18 months,\” said General Manager Zhao Hua.
