As the global transportation industry accelerates its shift toward sustainability, SHACMAN—China’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturer—continues to strengthen its international presence with cutting-edge new energy solutions. Recent months have seen the brand secure high-value partnerships across Southeast Asia and Europe, reinforcing its position as a trusted provider of eco-friendly, cost-effective commercial vehicles.
Breakthrough in Southeast Asia: 500+ Electric Trucks for Thai Logistics Network
In a landmark collaboration, SHACMAN has signed a $68 million agreement with Thailand’s top logistics firm, Kasikorn Logistics, to supply 520 units of its Zenith series electric tractors over the next two years. The deal marks one of the largest single orders for Chinese new energy commercial vehicles in Southeast Asia to date.
The Zenith electric tractors, equipped with SHACMAN’s proprietary 800V high-voltage platform and intelligent battery management system, offer a range of up to 350 km on a single charge—ideal for Thailand’s intercity logistics routes. They also feature a lightweight design that reduces energy consumption by 12% compared to industry averages, a key factor in Kasikorn Logistics’ decision.
“SHACMAN’s electric trucks align perfectly with our goal to cut carbon emissions by 40% by 2028,” said Mr. Somchai Thongprasert, CEO of Kasikorn Logistics. “We tested three international brands, and SHACMAN stood out for its reliability, local after-sales support, and competitive total cost of ownership.”
To support the partnership, SHACMAN will establish two new service centers in Bangkok and Chiang Mai, staffed with trained technicians and stocked with spare parts—ensuring minimal downtime for the fleet.
European Debut: Smart Electric Vans Launch in Germany
SHACMAN has also made its official entry into the European market with the launch of its iEV7 electric van at the 2025 Hannover Commercial Vehicle Show. Targeting urban delivery and last-mile logistics, the iEV7 has already secured pre-orders from 12 German and French fleet operators, totaling 180 units.
The iEV7 meets Europe’s strict ECE R100.3 safety standards and features a modular battery system that allows clients to choose between 50kWh and 80kWh configurations (delivering ranges of 200 km and 320 km, respectively). It also integrates SHACMAN’s Smart Fleet Management System, which provides real-time data on battery status, route optimization, and maintenance alerts—helping fleets reduce operational costs.
“Entering Europe is a significant milestone for SHACMAN,” said Ms. Li Na, Director of SHACMAN’s European Business Division. “We’ve invested three years in adapting our technology to local regulations and customer needs. The positive response to the iEV7 shows that our focus on quality and innovation resonates with European buyers.”
Global Sustainability Commitment: 100,000 Electric Trucks by 2030
These recent deals are part of SHACMAN’s broader strategy to deploy 100,000 electric commercial vehicles worldwide by 2030. The brand has allocated $2.1 billion to R&D over the next five years, with a focus on advancing battery technology, autonomous driving features, and green manufacturing processes.
In addition to product innovation, SHACMAN is expanding its global service network—now covering 120+ countries with 380+ service centers. This infrastructure ensures that clients in remote regions, from Indonesia to Iceland, receive the same level of support as those in major markets.
Looking Ahead: Focus on Hydrogen-Powered Heavy Duty Trucks
While electric vehicles remain a priority, SHACMAN is also exploring hydrogen fuel cell technology for heavy-duty applications. The brand’s H2 Heavy Truck, currently in pilot testing, offers a range of 600 km and a refueling time of just 15 minutes—addressing the long-haul needs of mining and construction clients.
“Our goal is to offer a full portfolio of zero-emission solutions,” said Mr. Wang Jian, SHACMAN’s Chief Technology Officer. “Whether it’s electric trucks for cities or hydrogen vehicles for long distances, we’re committed to helping our global clients transition to sustainability without compromising on performance.”
