C Series Powertrain Debuts at Wuhan Show

Highlighting the 2025 Wuhan Commercial Vehicle Show, Shacman and Cummins unveiled the all-new C Series powertrain to mark their 20-year collaboration. Covering 4L-15L displacements, the platform serves 8 core segments with adaptive dynamic optimization technology, cutting fuel consumption by over 5%. It features car-grade NVH tuning and rigorous durability testing, aligning with global efficiency demands.

On-site, Shacman delivered the 30,000th unit equipped with Xiaoxiang Power, a milestone reflecting strong market recognition. The brand also launched three new energy product lines—Zhihui, Zhiyuan, and Zhihuan—tailored for short-haul, mid-to-long-haul, and urban construction scenarios, realizing “one vehicle for one scenario” customization.

Mexico Plant to Boost Americas Presence

Shacman announced a $4-15 million investment to build an assembly plant in Puebla, Mexico, strengthening its footprint in the Americas. This follows its localized production network across 17 “Belt and Road” countries, including Morocco and Kazakhstan. The brand now serves 150+ nations, with 2025 overseas orders approaching 40,000 units and top market share in Kazakhstan, Algeria, and Tajikistan.

“The Mexico plant is key to our ‘capacity globalization’ strategy,” said a Shacman international sales manager. It will complement existing KD facilities to shorten delivery times and adapt products to regional regulations.

New Energy Ecosystem & Integrated Solutions

Shacman launched the “New Energy Heavy Truck Ecosystem Alliance” with Weichai Power, TELD, and CIMC Vehicles, covering R&D, charging infrastructure, and smart logistics. Its joint integrated cold-chain truck with CIMC, featuring ±0.5℃ temperature control and 61.2m³ capacity, was also unveiled at the Wuhan show.

The brand’s new energy sales neared 20,000 units in 2025, with models entering the UK, Netherlands, and Morocco. The Xinmingzhu gas heavy truck, powered by a 630HP Cummins engine, achieves 1300km range and 12% lower fuel consumption, becoming a hit in long-haul logistics.

“Our focus on powertrain innovation, localized production, and ecosystem building responds to global decarbonization and efficiency needs,” noted Shacman’s sales director. With the Mexico plant and new energy lineup, the brand targets 25% of China’s new energy heavy truck exports by 2026.
