Shacman Launches C Series & EV Sanitation Trucks, Secures 30-Unit Uzbekistan Order

Against China’s commercial vehicle export growth of 13.1% in Q1 2025—driven by the shift from “product export” to “capacity localization” —Shacman stole the show at the 2025 Wuhan Commercial Vehicle Show with new powertrains and eco-friendly models. The brand also secured a landmark 30-unit EV sanitation truck order from Uzbekistan, reinforcing its leadership in new energy and overseas markets.

Wuhan Show: C Series Powertrain & Integrated EVs Debut

The highlight was the new Shacman Cummins C Series powertrain, covering 4L-15L displacements to serve 8 core segments. Equipped with adaptive dynamic optimization technology, it cuts fuel consumption by over 5% and features car-grade NVH tuning. “This 20-year collaboration milestone merges our manufacturing strength with Cummins’ expertise,” said Yuan Hongming, Shacman’s chairman.
In partnership with CIMC, Shacman unveiled a new energy integrated cold-chain truck with ±0.5℃ temperature control and 61.2m³ capacity. The 3.0-generation model uses a steel-aluminum battery frame to reduce weight by 650kg, boosting payload and operational profits.

Uzbekistan Win: Zhiyun S500 Secures Big Government Order

Shacman won China’s largest 2025 overseas government order for sanitation vehicles—30 Zhiyun S500 electric compactors for Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Environment. The model adopts China’s first integrated e-axle, delivering 320km full-load range and ultra-low energy consumption. “This breaks new ground in Eurasian green equipment markets,” a regional sales director noted.

New Energy Layout & Global Footprint Expand

Shacman’s subsidiary Proton Motors made further strides in hydrogen mobility: it exported 240kW hydrogen trucks to Australia in May and secured a 20-unit letter of intent. The model also passed Japan’s EV certification, becoming the first Chinese heavy-duty hydrogen truck to achieve this.
In terms of overseas localized production, Shacman operates KD (knocked-down) assembly plants in 17 “Belt and Road” countries, including Morocco (producing X6000 models) and Kazakhstan. Its business now covers over 150 nations, with 2025 exports expected to exceed 60,000 units.
“Our C Series powertrain and new energy solutions perfectly align with global demands for efficiency and decarbonization,” said Zhao Chengjun, Shacman’s sales director. With 40 overseas offices, Shacman targets 25% of China’s new energy heavy truck export market by 2026.
