As China’s new energy heavy-duty truck penetration hit 26% by mid-2025, SHACMAN (the global brand of Shaanxi Automobile Group) has emerged as a dominant force in the sector, reporting a 228% year-on-year sales surge in the first ten months of 2025. With cumulative new energy heavy-duty truck sales exceeding 12,000 units and market share climbing to 11.3%, the brand’s three-pronged tech strategy (pure electric, hybrid, hydrogen fuel cell) has proven instrumental in capitalizing on the industry’s 191% growth momentum.
A pivotal milestone came on October 24, 2025, when SHACMAN delivered 100 under-chassis swap heavy-duty trucks in Datong and secured an additional 600-unit order. These models, co-developed with CATL and PANGOOD, feature 5-minute battery swaps (90% faster than charging) and a 513kWh CATL battery delivering over 350km range. With integrated e-axles and lightweight chassis design, they achieve industry-leading payload capacity while keeping curb weight under 11 tons – a critical advantage for coal transportation and construction logistics.
The DeLong M3000E series remains a cornerstone of SHACMAN‘s lineup, maintaining leadership in port logistics and sanitation services. Equipped with the proprietary “Tianyan” electric drive system (96.68% efficiency) and AI-powered AMT shifting trained on 900,000 user datasets, it continues to set benchmarks for energy optimization. Complementing this, the 2025 NEV 2.0 Series launched earlier this year cuts energy consumption by 10% versus competitors via adaptive recovery and integrated thermal management.
International expansion has accelerated in parallel with domestic success. SHACMAN‘s hydrogen fuel cell trucks entered the Australian market in 2025, joining its global footprint spanning 140+ countries. This aligns with China’s 150% growth in new energy commercial vehicle exports through September 2025, as global buyers prioritize SHACMAN’s combination of German MAN-engineered reliability and CATL-powered efficiency.
Strategic collaboration remains central to SHACMAN‘s ecosystem. Its deepened partnership with CATL has yielded innovations like the Kunshi chassis, featuring CTP battery technology with 20% higher volume utilization and all-climate thermal management. These advancements address critical industry pain points, from range anxiety to extreme weather performance – concerns amplified in international markets.
“With China’s NEV heavy-duty truck market poised to reach 160,000 units in 2025, our focus on scenario-specific innovation and ecosystem building keeps SHACMAN at the forefront,” noted a Shaanxi Auto spokesperson. The brand is now ramping up intelligent fleet management upgrades and fast-charging infrastructure support to solidify its lead, while advancing national carbon neutrality goals through 360,000+ global clean-energy vehicles.
