Shacman, China’s premier heavy-duty truck manufacturer, has emerged as a dual leader in new energy innovation and global expansion, capitalizing on the country’s 59.3% surge in new energy commercial vehicle sales through September 2025. As China’s heavy-duty truck exports hit 156,000 units in H1 2025, Shacman captured 18% of the market—outpacing industry growth with targeted regional strategies.
Industry Rebound Fuels New Energy Demand
The 2025 commercial vehicle market has seen dramatic structural shifts: new energy heavy-duty trucks soared 209.3% year-on-year in the first three quarters, while Q3 overall sales jumped 15.5%. This growth is driven by infrastructure booms in Asia and policy pushes for decarbonization—trends Shacman has strategically leveraged. “We’re aligning product innovation with global sustainability needs,” noted a Shacman spokesperson.
Export Dominance Across High-Growth Regions
Shacman’s export momentum accelerated with Q1 shipments exceeding 14,000 units, led by:
Southeast Asia: The tropical-optimized X3000 model delivered 42% year-on-year growth, supporting Indonesian and Vietnamese infrastructure projects.
Middle East: High-temperature-resistant trucks gained traction in Saudi oil fields, driving 35% sales growth in the kingdom.
Africa: KD factories in Kenya and Algeria cut delivery times by 30%, boosting market share in resource logistics.
New Energy Fleet Expands Global Footprint
September 2025 marked Shacman’s launch of the X5000 Electric Tractor Head, featuring a 450km range and 1.5-hour fast-charging—tailored for China’s logistics hubs where new energy trucks now dominate growth. Complementing this, subsidiary Proton Motors’ hydrogen trucks (240kW fuel system, 500km range) entered Australian ports in Q2, becoming China’s first mass-exported developed-market-certified hydrogen heavy-duty fleet.
Q4 Outlook: Smart & Green
Riding the industry’s Q3 rebound (商用车指数 up 2.16% on Oct 31), Shacman will debut the Cummins M10-powered H3000S in Southeast Asia—targeting 10% fuel efficiency gains for regional haulers. With plans to expand hydrogen truck trials in the Middle East, the company aims to capture 25% of China’s new energy heavy-duty market by 2026.
