China’s specialty heavy-truck exports to emerging markets surged 41.5% year-on-year in 2025, fueled by infrastructure projects in Southeast Asia and Saudi Arabia’s “Vision 2030″ initiatives . Shacman, a leader in customized commercial vehicles, reinforced its position with over 100 automatic-transmission specialty truck deliveries, GCC-certified desert models, and expanded after-sales networks—capturing 22% of China’s heavy-truck export market in the specialty segment .
100+ Automatic Trucks Delivered to SE Asia
On December 1, Shacman’s subsidiary Shaanxi Tongli held a delivery ceremony for bulk heavy-haul tractors to Southeast Asia, marking its highest annual export volume of automatic-transmission specialty vehicles . The X3000 6×6 heavy-haul tractors feature 550-660HP low-speed torque engines, China’s first automatic transmission, and full-time 4WD transfer cases—cutting fuel consumption by 10% versus competitors .
“These trucks handle oversized cargo for Indonesia’s nickel mines and Vietnam’s highway projects,” said Hui Xiang, Shacman’s overseas brand manager. The shipment follows earlier 2025 deliveries to South Africa and the Middle East, pushing Shaanxi Tongli’s annual specialty vehicle exports past 100 units .
GCC-Certified Desert Models Dominate Middle East
Shacman’s X3000 all-wheel-drive desert tractors secured repeat orders in Saudi Arabia and Qatar after passing GCC certification , tailored for 50°C temperatures and sandstorms. Upgrades include dust-proof air filters, reinforced chassis coatings, and heat-resistant wiring harnesses—replacing European models in local mining logistics .
The brand also expanded its port vehicle footprint, with offset terminal tractors now operating in Saudi Arabia’s Jeddah Port and Qatar’s Hamad Port . “Our ‘one country, one truck’ strategy solves unique regional pain points,” noted a Shacman Middle East director.
Service Networks Back Global Expansion
To support delivery growth, Shacman added 12 new service outlets in Southeast Asia and Africa, complementing its existing 400+ global service hubs . The brand offers 12-month unlimited-mileage warranties and 72-hour parts delivery for specialty vehicles—critical for time-sensitive mining and construction projects .
It also leverages multi-port shipping flexibility, with 60% of 2025 exports routed through Shanghai and Qingdao ports to reduce transit times for SE Asian clients . Accepted payment terms including L/C and T/T further streamline transactions with regional partners .
Industry Trend: Customization Becomes Key Differentiator
Shacman’s growth mirrors industry shifts: global demand for scenario-specific heavy trucks rose 37% in 2025, with automatic-transmission models gaining traction for driver efficiency . The brand’s 692 customized product variants—up from 448 in 2024—cover applications from cement mixing to log transportation, supported by ISO, EAC, and CE certifications .
“Our specialty vehicles and localized service turn infrastructure opportunities into long-term partnerships,” a sales executive stated. With 2025 exports nearing 45,000 units, Shacman targets 25% of China’s specialty heavy-truck export market by 2026.
