X5000E: Global First L4 Autonomous Truck for Bulk Commodity Transport
Unveiled at the 5th China-Mongolia Expo, Shacman’s X5000E, co-developed with Karl Power, is the world’s first front-loaded mass-produced L4 autonomous new energy heavy truck. Tailored for bulk commodity transportation, it features multiple high-performance sensors enabling 360-degree accurate detection even in sandstorms, rain, and snow. Dual redundancy in key systems ensures safety for long-distance operations, a critical requirement for L4 autonomous driving.
The model demonstrated \”1-tow-1\” intelligent platooning capability at the expo, gaining industry recognition. Economically, it reduces labor costs by 83% and energy consumption by 10%, saving $15,000-$30,000 per vehicle annually. When integrated with smart dispatching systems, overall operational costs drop by an additional 20%.
Prior to the expo, the X5000E had already undergone scenario adaptation verification at the Pingxiang Port in Guangxi, proving its reliability in cross-border logistics scenarios.
Supply Chain Synergy Fuels Tech Innovation & Green Growth
Shacman’s technological breakthroughs are supported by its robust supply chain ecosystem. At its December 23 2026 Supply Chain Partners Conference, the brand emphasized its \”Four Together\” philosophy (joint design, verification, research, and development) with partners. Over 60% of 39 key joint projects focus on new energy, new materials, and low-carbon technologies, enhancing industrial chain efficiency.
The synergy has driven remarkable green growth: Shacman’s 2025 NEV sales surged 251.6% YoY to 22,000 units, while natural gas truck sales exceeded 34,000 units (+18.2% YoY). Yuan Hongming, Shacman’s Chairman, stated the brand will build a new supply chain ecosystem to support global expansion and technological upgrading toward electrification, intelligence, connectivity, and lightweighting.
Flagship Models & Digital Platform Complement Smart Portfolio
Complementing the X5000E, Shacman launched two flagship models at its December 10 2026 Business Conference: the X6000 Ultra Flagship (gas diesel variants) with AI-powered smart cockpit and 1,800km range, and the G6000E integrated NEV with 30-minute fast charging and 1.1kWh/km energy consumption.
The newly launched \”RongE Xing\” digital platform further enhances operational efficiency, offering 30-minute quick financing approval, real-time fleet monitoring, and online maintenance booking. New energy-exclusive services include 2-hour express claims and free road rescue, supported by online three-electric system diagnosis for early fault warning.
