Under the strong impetus of the Belt and Road Initiative, SHACMAN Heavy Trucks has firmly seized the opportunity and actively expanded the markets of countries along the route. Its export performance has been booming all the way. Currently, its export volume has accounted for one-fifth of China’s total heavy truck exports, becoming a shining business card of “Made in China” along the Belt and Road.

In Central Asia, with its excellent off-road performance and reliable quality, SHACMAN heavy trucks are widely used in key fields such as oil and gas transportation and infrastructure construction. In the Kashagan Oil Field project in Kazakhstan, SHACMAN customized 300 oil and gas transportation heavy trucks for it. These vehicles are equipped with wide tires suitable for desert environments, high ground clearance chassis, and efficient air filtration systems. Even in harsh conditions with sand and dust, they can operate stably. The project leader praised that the attendance rate of SHACMAN heavy trucks is as high as 98%, providing a solid guarantee for the oil field transportation. In the five Central Asian countries, SHACMAN’s market share of heavy trucks exceeds 40%, ranking first among Chinese heavy truck brands.

In the Middle East region, SHACMAN has carried out special improvements to the vehicle’s cooling system, air filter, etc. in response to the local high temperature and sandstorm weather, and launched desert version heavy trucks. This model is equipped with a high-power cooling fan and an intelligent temperature control system, which can ensure that the engine operates stably continuously at a high temperature of 50°C. The multi-stage filtered air filter it is equipped with can effectively block sand and dust particles, increasing the cleanliness of the engine intake air to 99%. A Saudi Arabian construction company purchased 200 desert version heavy trucks for infrastructure projects. After one year of operation, the engine failure rate was 40% lower than that of other brands.

Localized production and technical cooperation are also important development strategies for SHACMAN in the markets along the Belt and Road. In Uzbekistan, the heavy truck assembly plant jointly established by SHACMAN and local enterprises was successfully put into production in 2023, with an annual production capacity of 5,000 vehicles. This plant has not only created a large number of jobs for the local area but also driven the coordinated development of the upstream and downstream industrial chains. At the same time, SHACMAN has vigorously carried out technical training in countries along the route, training professional maintenance technicians for the local area. Up to now, it has trained more than 5,000 people in total, effectively improving the after-sales support ability of products and enhancing the brand’s influence and reputation locally.
