2026 Shanghai Electric Truck Expo Highlights
At the 2026 Shanghai Electric Truck Expo (May 13–15), SHACMAN unveiled its next-generation electric drive system and the M3000E lightweight 6×4 electric tractor, spotlighting advancements in efficiency and intelligent mobility. The integrated 550–580kW electric drive system delivers 3,000N·m peak torque, optimized for heavy-duty cycles. The M3000E, equipped with a 452kWh battery, targets urban and regional logistics, offering fast charging and a lightweight chassis to maximize payload. Complementing this, SHACMAN’s collaboration with KargoBot introduced a dual-form mass-produced transport robot, supporting 20–40ft container switching for coal, steel, and cold chain logistics.
EU WVTA Certification — X6000 Breakthrough
A landmark regulatory breakthrough arrived in early May, as the X6000 4×2 tractor secured EU WVTA certification, granting full access to all 27 EU member states. This milestone makes SHACMAN one of the first Chinese heavy truck brands to meet the EU’s stringent standards, including Euro 6 emissions, active safety (R131/02 AEBS), and cybersecurity requirements. Ahead of the June 1, 2026, EU CO₂ regulation deadline, all X6000 export models completed RDE testing and battery carbon footprint filings, ensuring uninterrupted European market access.
Hydrogen Fuel Cell Technology — 1,500km Road Assessment
In hydrogen technology, SHACMAN’s self-developed fuel cell heavy tractor completed 1,500km of long-distance continuous road assessments in early May. The zero-emission model achieves a 450km full-load range and 15-minute fast hydrogen refueling, stable under high-temperature and plateau conditions. Targeting Central Asian and Australian low-carbon logistics, it fills the long-haul gap for pure electric trucks and has entered pre-mass production.
Customized Regional Solutions — Overseas Growth
Industry Trends — Q2 2026
Globally, electric and gas heavy truck sales are projected to account for 25% of total sales in 2026, driven by EU carbon rules and Asia-Pacific emissions standards. While diesel remains dominant (75% market share), battery-electric models are the fastest-growing segment, supported by infrastructure expansion in closed scenarios.
Strategic Partnerships & 2026 Production Targets
SHACMAN’s 2026 target of 40,000 new energy heavy trucks is reinforced by strategic partnerships and localized production. With 13 overseas KD factories and 330+ service stations, the company reduces delivery cycles by 40% in key markets like Indonesia and Kazakhstan.
