According to statistics from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, in 2023, my country’s heavy-duty truck market accumulated sales of 910,000 units, a net increase of 239,000 units from 2022, an increase of 36%. On a monthly basis, except for January and December, where sales fell year-on-year, all other months achieved positive sales growth, with March having the highest sales of 115,400 vehicles.
In 2023, due to the decline in natural gas prices and the expansion of the oil and gas price gap, the economics of natural gas heavy trucks have greatly improved, and the sales of natural gas heavy trucks and engine products have experienced a blowout growth. Data shows that natural gas heavy trucks will sell 152,000 units in 2023 (compulsory traffic insurance), with terminal sales reaching a maximum of 25,000 units in a single month.
Heavy truck sales are rising steadily, and industry prosperity continues to rise. Based on driving factors such as the domestic macroeconomic situation continuing to improve, overseas market demand remaining high, and demand for renewal, it is expected that industry-wide sales will reach 1.15 million vehicles in 2024, a year-on-year increase of 26%; at the same time, heavy truck sales are expected to usher in a 3-5 year growth During the high business cycle, enterprises in the industrial chain will benefit significantly.
